It is another case of Twin River Corporate versus Labor dispute.The Teamster are about to go on strike and claim that if they do it will close down the gambling facility.
'A valet strike would shut them down, with other union workers honoring the picket line. We were scheduled for negotiations Friday but the Company cancelled.
Even though the Company cancelled, the Union is still able and willing to meet to get an agreement to avoid a potential strike,' said Matt Taibi of the Teamsters.
Teamsters Local 251 has set a deadline for Twin River Casino to “reach a fair contract or face a potential strike on Friday at 3 p.m.”
According to the union, “the sticking point in contract negotiations is Twin River’s demand that employees be stripped of their job security.”

The Teamsters’ Taibi told GoLocal on Wednesday night that if the Teamsters strike, Twin River bartenders, servers, clerks, skilled maintenance and other union employees have all pledged to honor their picket lines.
A strike would impact the nearly $1 million in tax revenue generated every day at Twin River.
