As you probably already know, progressions and solar arcs of the Midheaven, Ascendant, planets and moon are a better indication than transits of the really bigpayouts. An accurate progressed position indicates the approximate date (more accurate with the progressed Moon),when the event might occur. It is the daily planetary transits that will give the near-exact date of a 'luckyday' operating under the influence of a benevolent progressed aspect. Large payouts occur when transits (usuallybenevolent aspects from the slower-moving planets) coincide with natal and benevolent progressed planet (andsometimes the moon) positions.Some of the largest payouts can occur when secondary planetaryand solar arc progressions of planets or the Midheaven and Ascendant have reached powerful and benevolentpositions. I do not have a particularly 'lucky' birthchart with good Venus or Jupiteraspects, yet I am a 'successful' gambler (well ahead). My biggest wins to date have occurred when theseprogressions were in effect. |
An acqaintance who won R2.8 million on the 7th of January1998, had a Sun-Jupiter sextile in her birth-chart that had come to 'exact' by progression. This effect wasincreased by several benevolent transits going off at the same time. Wins of this intensity are definitely fated,in my opinion.
One of several cases of how Lotto winners have come to select their winningnumbers has led me to believe this. An example is the man who, when selecting his numbers, glanced upwards at theroof. On a wooden beam was stamped a batch number, which he took. It turned out to be the correct combination.Statisticians would probably say that this was simply a coincidence. Regarding methods of selection, it seems that when luck comes your way, it does not matter what method you use.People use their own lucky numbers, family birth dates, numerological numbers and many other ways to make their choices. What appears to be valid is that your method will tend to work for you when you get lucky. There often exists what I refer to as the 'Beak' or 'Wave' shape in aperson's daily transits, for want of a better word, since it looks like a big bird's beak (example)If youdraw each transit as a semi-circle above or below a horizontal line: above the line for a good transit (trine,sextile or good conjunction) and below the line for a bad transit (square, opposite or bad conjunction), you willend up with a graphical diagram ofwhat the good and bad looks like on any particular day. Note that you shoulduse the traditional one degree orbs for this, but I do have examples of it working for two degree orbs. In otherwords, bad transit energy seems to 'release' its hold more often around a one-degree orb than two degrees.Many winning dates are now fairly easy to see. Look for a daywhen there has either been a buildup of good transit activity, or a day when there are several good transits.This will look like several semi-circles above the line. At the same time, one or more final bad transits shouldterminate. It looks like the good is 'spilling' over the bad. There has been bad resistance, which suddenly comesto an end, leaving only the good influences. It is like flying over a cliff edge in an aeroplane. The groundsuddenly drops away, leaving you way up in the sky. Days like these can often bring much luck.
If you want to find the dates of many of the biggest possible winning periods in your life, try the following: (you need a fairly accurate birth-time)
1. Progress your Midheaven and Ascendant by Solar Arc, finding the monthswhen they form benefic aspects (all trines and sextiles, as well as conjunctions to the Sun, Moon, Mercury,Venus, Jupiter and sometimes the outer planets -especially Uranus, but only if the outer planet is well aspectedin your birth-chart). You progress your Midheaven and Ascendant by adding a degree for every year that has passedsince your birth. An example: Suppose a person's Midheaven is at 18 Pisces 30, and they have Jupiter at 18 Leo30. Their progressed Midheaven will hit the trine to Jupiter (at 18 Aries 30) at approximately age 30, at whichtime that person could expect an event ranging from good to excellent, depending on the strength and aspects madeto Jupiter in their natal chart. Please note that this is only a rough way of calculating Solar Arc progressions.The actual value is normally a little more or less than a degree, depending on the zodiac-related speed of the Sun during the months following your birth, which gradually causes an error of up to a year or two in later life. It is best to use an accurate software program if you really want to get into this.
2. When you know the approximate date of a good progression, it is time to look at your transitsfor this period. The progression will be fired off by good transits, not necessarily to the planet beingcontacted. At times like these, look for either the beak shape, or a day when several good transits are inoperation. You can use this program to find either of the two, but I have found that the wins usually occur underthe beak, the day when there are one or more good transits affecting you, and the last bad transit has just goneout of its 1 (or 2) degree orb. On days like these, the chances are very good that you will either win aconsiderable amount of money, or experience a very good event, even if you do not gamble or speculate at thistime.
3. When you have learnt to do this, you can do the same with your progressed planets.Here, you have even more options that work well. You can use both the Solar Arc ('Primary Directions') as well asthe true planetary progressions ('Secondary Progressions').
To calculate the Solar Arcdirections you use exactly the same method as explained in point 1. For example, if you have an exact Jupiter/Sunsextile (60 degrees apart) in your natal chart, then at age 60 or a little after you can expect a big to hugepayout or very successful event. To calculate your Secondary Progressions, which are equally, (if not, more)powerful, you need an astrology program or an Ephemeris (a free set of tables comes with this program) to findout the approximate date of the progression. Again, it works on a 'day for a year' basis. Let's say you were bornon the 15th of January, 1960, at 8am. To find out where your progressed planets are at exactly age 40 and a half,do the following. First, add 40 days to your birth-date. You get the 24th of February, 1960. To get the correctprogressed time, add 12 hours (half a day) to your birth-time, i.e. 8pm. Now use either your astrology program(or your Ephemeris) to find out exactly where the planets, sun and moon were on the 24th of February, 1960, at8pm in your current place of residence. Once you have done this, examine the aspects of these progressedplanetary positions to your natal planets. With a bit of experimentation, you can find the age you were (or willbe) when the aspect becomes 'exact'.
Finally, as in point 2 above, look at the transits toyour natal planets to find the exact date of the event. Transits to the natal planets seem to exert a strongerinfluence than transits to your progressed planets at that time. This does not mean that transits to progressedplanets should be discounted, they definitely do have an influence, but you should first look at transits to yournatal planets before taking transits to progressions in account, as well as have enough astrological experienceto know the potential of the natal chart before looking at transits to progressions to bring events that are notpromised in the natal planetary aspects and dignities.
A study of a number of lotterywinners and the aspects when they won revealed something quite interesting. Sometimes a fairly innocent lookingbirthchart can get quite supercharged by progressions and transits. For example, one person I looked at from LoisRodden's records had a 2-degree Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in his birthchart:-

Around age 39, Jupiter had progressed to be right on his Uranus at 25 Cancer. TransittingPluto came up to sextile the now powerful conjunction, a few other nice transits to natal and progressions, andwham! $27 million dollars in the bank. This is one of the reasons why I don't like to 'discriminate' againstsomeone having a natal chart that doesn't look all that powerful, or to de-emphasize a natal planet too much.Progressions can make a chart extremely powerful, especially if it is a slow, 'burning' progression (stationaryor turning direct/retrograde near a natal planet). Also, a person can have a natal planet conjunct a powerfulfixed star, or have some close parallels that a first glance might miss. A weak or debilitated Venus, forexample, might have progressed right on to Regulus, and who can say exactly how powerful that might be.
Always be aware of the 'geometry' of the progressed standalone chart. Watch the angles too (Asc/MC). You will often find the reasons for events and situations in this chart that are sometimes completely invisible in the progressions and transits.
For an example of how progressions can turn a fairly innocent looking chart into a really powerful one (3rd richest person in the world), look at the one for Jeff Bezos (Jan 12, 1964). Then look at the chart for Feb 11, 1964 (his 30-day progressed chart which corresponds to 1994 when he launched Amazon). Look at the bunch of planets conjuncting his natal Venus. .
Squares, Sextiles.?
I counted the differentaspects in effect for about 20 wins that I had which occurred during the course of about 150 of my gamblingsessions, mainly in horse-racing. I used only my own data since I am absolutely sure of my birth details as wellas the exact dates and amounts I won.

The Daily Chart
There are many reports on the internet from astrologers who have success betting by the 'daily chart'. As this chart revolves once a day the planets form aspects to your natal chart. My mentor, Denise, who has been gambling for over 50 years, has the following advice to offer:'The daily ASC and MC to Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, Asc and MC. THAT is my 'winning format'. (Any 2 of the 4 planet combinations pay off for me along with Asc and MC). ALL the aspects are utilised, noviles, septiles, A L L !!!! It is the Kepler grid and an absolutely 'correct' time on my cellphone that dictates the combinations.'
I am aware of Joyce Wehrman's strategy of focusing mainly on the conjunctions, squares andoppositions the daily chart makes to your natal chart. Her approach uses the Koch house system and requires, asshe says, birth times that are 'gnat-eye' accurate to calculate the exact times these aspects are made. I agreewith her observations regarding the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 9th houses and aspects made to planets in those houses andtheir ruling planets. This has to be partly true, since this is how astrology works at a minor level, but if thiswas totally true, you (and everyone else) would be able to win money consistently every day. I disagree with thisapproach when it comes to aspects involved in larger wins, which are definitely fired by more powerfulastrological conditions than aspects as they form as the daily chart turns its full revolution once a day.
You only have to study the charts, progressions and transits of Lois Rodden's list of lottowinners to confirm this. Sextiles, trines and conjunctions form the overwhelming basis (over 90 percent) ofaspects on the date of their big lotto wins. These aspects are invariably a combination of secondaryprogressions, primary directions (solar arc) as well as transits to both natal and progressed planets. If youstudy these charts you will see that this is largely indisputable. However, when you look at wins in hindsight,you will notice that the exact moment of a big win was usually fired by at the moment of such aspects, but if youonly look at daily aspects and not the bigger picture, you will probably lose as much money as I did when tryingto get this method to work for me before giving up on it. However, having said all this, I agree with the manyastrologers who say that hard aspects can help cause big wins. There have been many examples of this with biglotto winners, even Saturn exactly square a person's natal Mercury. An example of this in my case was my best winto date which occurred when Neptune was exactly opposite my natal Mars. But I do believe that these merely assistthe action of major progressions and transits to both progressed and natal planets.

You canuse any astrology program to quickly give you a list of the progressed planet (Secondary Progression) influencesin your life. This basically gives you a picture of your life-story, the 'big picture', in terms of theinfluences of your secondary progressions. All you have to do to get this list is to run your transits for thefirst, say, 90 days of your life. You can use this or any transit calculating program to do this. So, if you wereborn on the 15th of January, 1960, simply get the program to calculate your (full - use this option) transitsfrom that date for 90 days, up to approximately the 15th April, 1960. This will give you a good indication of themajor periods in your life up to age 90. Treat each day as a year following your birth. (Naturally, ignore thetransiting planets that 'conjunct themselves' on the days following your birth-date). Midpoints?
I've looked quiteclosely at aspects to midpoints at the times of wins and my conclusion is, although they are definitely active atthese times, there are often quite important ones that are badly aspected at the same times. They seem to add tothe aspects but don't seem to inhibit wins in any noticeable manner.
Betting by theMoon
If you know the exact aspects the Moon is making to your planets you will actually feelthe bit of luck kick in just before the aspect becomes exact, but after going into this quite deeply I feel thatthere is just not enough power in the Moon to make a day a winning one, even if you have a few good transits onthat day. Also, bear in mind that my records show that any aspect from the Moon can sometimes fire off a luckyday when you do have one. For example, at the exact time of the outcome of my best win in 1992, the Moon exactlysquared my natal Uranus. Yes, as a matter of fact, I was feeling rather upset at the time of the win. I was stilllive in a Pick-6 ticket with one race to go. I had 6 horses running for me in that leg. I noticed that anunproven horse was getting heavily backed, so covered my ticket by taking it to win with the field in a trifectataken twice. The Pick 6 was paying a minimum of R34 000 on the favorite. The newbie won. My horses came 2nd, 3rd,4th, 5th and 6th, and all I won was the trifecta twice. Feeling very unlucky and despondent, I heard themannounce that the Place Accumulator had paid R1200. I remembered I was still in twice and had taken the ticketten times. I quickly worked out that that ticket was now worth R25 000, which made me feel quite a bit better.Still, the message here is, if you only play when the Moon is in good aspect you might miss out on a winning dayentirely.
Betting by Transit Activity Alone
Update 2013: I have spent the last couple of years working closely with some professional gamblers, mainly poker and roulette. They like to gamble more often than the dates recommended by the software. After following their winning and losing days for a long time, win after win, loss after loss, the common finding is that betting this way does help to a noticeable extent, in the region of a 60-70% success rate. Still, it is somewhat frustrating and does not seem to be as effective as following the 'beak' days where there is a discharge of fortunate energy after the termination of a final bad transit. So, after 20 years of testing, the theory still holds water and I use it myself all the time. I am still way ahead and still win a lot more than I lose.

I have seen several sites try and sell lucky days in the past few years, all attempting to use this method, and all closing down within a year or two. Betting by transit activity alone is not very impressive.
Aspects to the MC, Ascendant and Node
Looking back at myrecords, it is clear that good aspects to the MC and Node are definite payers, especially those from Venus,Jupiter, Mars and Mercury in that order. However, over the past few weeks (Feb 2006) I've had good aspects fromVenus and Jupiter to my MC, so bet confidently on four occasions (3 horses, 1 casino), only to lose each time.All I can say at this stage is that statistically they do pay quite frequently and should be followed, but cannotbe relied upon on their own. It seems they must be backed-up by other good transits or progressions at the sametime.
2nd and 5th Houses
To date, most of my best wins came when theSun was in the first half of my 2nd and 5th houses. The win was in most cases bigger than normal (for me) ifthere was a good progressed Moon aspect to my birthchart at the same time. The two best progressed Moon aspectsfor me have been conjunct Uranus in my 3rd while the Sun was a few degrees into my 2nd, and trine Neptune (in my5th) when the Sun was approaching the cusp of my 2nd house. My second biggest win occurred when the Sun was a fewdegrees into my 5th house.
Lucky Days Horoscope For The Casino
Afterusing my own software for well over a decade now I can add that I have repeatedly won relatively large amountswhen the Sun has moved a week or two into my 2nd and 5th houses (Placidus). Look for good transits around thoseperiods and fire away, you may be pleasantly surprised.

You don't have towait so long for progressed moon aspects, and, sure as daylight, along with the bad aspects, they bring luckydays, new jobs, friends, romance and good things into your life as well.
